Volunteer Spotlight: Deanna Molina

Meet Deanna, a dedicated volunteer and parent of three in St. Vrain Valley Schools!
Deanna's journey with the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation began after running the Sunrise Stampede with her daughter a few years ago. Inspired by the passionate people behind it and the wide range of programs supporting our community, she jumped in and has been giving back ever since — serving on selection committees for the Celebration of Excellence and Student Scholarships, and most recently volunteering alongside her daughters with the Supplies for Success program.
Originally from New Jersey, Deanna graduated from Duke University and spent 16 years in corporate HR in the fashion and sports industries before shifting her focus to her children's education and local nonprofits. Her family lived in Hong Kong for a few years before settling in Colorado nearly five years ago. In her free time, she loves planning school events, hiking, and exploring new Colorado adventures with her family.

🌅 That's a Wrap on Sunrise Stampede 2026! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The 2026 Sunrise Stampede was a huge success, and we couldn't be more grateful! Here's what we accomplished together:
💰 Over $50,000 raised for Educator Innovation Grants
🏃 Nearly 700 runners hit the pavement
🙌 100+ volunteers and sponsors showed up to support our community
🎁 Over $1,000 in prizes from our local donors
😊 Countless smiles along the way

What a perfect way to kick off the first week back to school! Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, sponsored, and cheered—you made this event truly special. 💛

Sunrise, sneakers, and school spirit—Saturday's the day!

The 41st Annual Sunrise Stampede is happening Saturday morning, and you won’t want to miss it. Choose between the 5K run or the 1-mile fun run/walk, open to all ages and paces. There will be a School Spirit Challenge, awards for top runners, and the best part… it all supports Educator Grants for our schools.

7:45 am - 1 Mile Fun Run Registration Closes
8:00 am - 1 Mile Fun Run Start

🎒 Supplies for Success 2026 — Wrapped Up! 🎒

What an incredible year! Thanks to our amazing community, we're supporting over 4,800 students across St. Vrain Valley Schools for the 2026-2027 school year with the supplies they need to succeed. 🙌
None of this would be possible without our generous sponsors and 250 volunteers, who gave approximately 750 hours of their time at the packing site. Talk about community power! 💛

One of our volunteers put it best:
"Supplies for Success is such a great program that directly supports the children in our community. It provides immediate and tangible results that positively affect kids in our area, so THANK YOU!!"

Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored (including our Presenting Sponsor, Western Disposal ), packed, and showed up for our students—and a special thank you to Trail Ridge Middle School for hosting our packing site and to our incredible SVVSD Warehouse Team for delivering the supplies to the schools!
