Hope to see you TONIGHT at Iron Exchange in Maple Plain for the Spartan Summer Social! Live music by The NightCaps (6-8pm), good food, beverages, and a chance to relax with other Orono friends and families.

Don't forget to bring your gently used Orono gear for the Spiritwear Exchange. We will also have a free drawing for tickets to the Minnesota State Fair.

Big thanks to Iron Exchange for hosting us and for donating 10% of all pizza and beer sales back to Orono Schools!

School's just around the corner! In between squeezing in those last-minute summer adventures, shopping for back-to-school, and fantasizing about having a regular schedule again, let's get the party started with the Spartan Summer Social! 🎉 Join us at the Iron Exchange on Thursday, August 20th from 5-9pm for food, drinks, and great company! Reconnect with Spartan friends and families at this free family-friendly event.

Iron Exchange will once again donate 10% of proceeds on pizza and beer back to Orono Schools. Reservations encouraged but not required (https://ironexchange.us/)

Oh, and new this year - Bring your kids' outgrown Spartan Spirit Wear to swap with fellow Spartans! We hope to have a table full of clean, gently used gear for you to snag. The goal is to leave with something new-to-you and fabulous for Homecoming 2026 Spirit Days!

The final week of school is here and these dads are getting their duty in just in time! Thank you to Justin Hagen (left, with daughter Lauren) and Josh Jasberg (right, with daughter Ruby) for showing up in style to help with lunchroom cleanup today 👏

These dads donated both funds and their time during the Spartan Soirée to support Orono Schools and put a smile on student's faces. Moments like this remind us what community is all about.

And of course, thank you to ALL of the amazing volunteers who showed up this year during lunch, at recess, and in the classroom. The contribution of your time does not go unnoticed and helps create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for Orono students and teachers.

Shout out to today’s ‘Dads on Duty’ - Adam Ruhland and Markus Ebert! 👏

These two are part of an incredible group of 14 dads who stepped up during the Live Auction at the Spartan Soirée, donating not only funds, but their time in support of Orono schools. Each dad committed to an hour of lunchroom duty…and thanks to some enthusiastic bidding, a few even agreed to wear an inflatable costume while on the job!

From wiping tables to greeting students at lunch, these volunteers brought plenty of energy, laughter, and Spartan Spirit to the Schumann Cafeteria today.

Thank you to all of the dads and generous donors who made this fun and memorable experience possible.

We are still feeling the energy from the Spartan Soirée!

From the laughter and connections to the incredible generosity, it was a night that truly showcased what makes the Orono community so special. Together, we raised over $200,000 to support our students, teachers, and schools!

These funds will directly impact classrooms across the district - supporting programs like literacy, language learning, AP courses, teacher development, and critical investments in technology to enhance school safety.

Thank you for showing up, giving back, and believing in our schools. We couldn’t do this without you ❤️💙
