A reminder that our Fall Sports Information Night is tonight, Monday, August 10, at 6:00 p.m.

Please remember there will not be a large group welcome session. Instead, families should proceed directly to their sport-specific meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Meeting Locations:

* Cross Country (Boys & Girls): Media Center
* Boys Soccer: Auditorium
* Girls Soccer: Choir Room (Room 114)
* Girls Swim & Dive: Drama Room (Room 113)
* Girls Tennis: Room 11
* Girls Volleyball: Cafeteria
* Football: Pesonen Stadium

Football families should proceed directly to Pesonen Stadium. All other families should enter Orono High School through Door H7 and proceed to their sport-specific meeting location.

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so meetings can begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Tonight is an important opportunity to meet your coaches, learn about team expectations, review season information, and ask questions before the fall season begins.

The official start of the fall sports season is Monday, August 17. Families are encouraged to complete registration through MyPaymentsPlus as soon as possible. Students who are not registered will not be permitted to begin practice.

Fall Sports Information Night Update

Due to the high school gym floor resurfacing project, Monday's (8/10) Fall Sports Information Night will begin a little differently than originally planned. Rather than starting with a large group welcome session, families should proceed directly to their sport-specific meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Meeting Information:
- Cross Country (Boys & Girls): Media Center
- Boys Soccer: Auditorium
- Girls Soccer: Choir Room (Room 114)
- Girls Swim & Dive: Drama Room (Room 113)
- Girls Tennis: Room 11
- Girls Volleyball: Cafeteria
- Football: Pesonen Stadium

Football families should proceed directly to Pesonen Stadium. Families participating in all other fall sports should enter Orono High School through Door H7 and proceed to their sport-specific meeting location.

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so meetings can begin on time. Mr. Brunner, Director of Athletics and Student Activities, will be available at Door H7 to welcome families, provide a handout with important district wide information that is typically shared during the large group session, and assist with directions. Following the sport-specific meetings, he will also be available to answer questions.

This is an important opportunity to meet your coaches, learn about team expectations, review season information, and ask questions before the fall season begins.

Orono Athletics has transitioned to Bound for athletics scheduling and ticketing.

All Metro West Conference schools, along with the vast majority of schools across Minnesota, also use Bound. Users can quickly find schedules by school, sport, team, and season, or follow their favorite teams to receive schedule updates, and other notifications directly through the Bound app.

Fans who previously purchased tickets through GoFan will now purchase digital tickets through Bound for all Orono home athletic events.

Before the school year begins, we encourage families to explore Bound and become familiar with the platform.

Registration for fall sports is open through MyPaymentsPlus.

Families are encouraged to attend our Fall Sports Information Night on Monday, August 10 at 6:00 PM at Orono High School. The evening will begin with a welcome and important information from Director of Athletics and Student Activities, Mr. Brunner, followed by breakout sessions where families will hear from individual sport coaches about the upcoming season

Nora Benson carded a final-round 80 to climb the leaderboard and finish tied for 30th place at the State Tournament. She closed out her high school career with three consecutive State Tournament appearances. Congratulations, Nora!

3rd in State!

Boys Golf’s remarkable season comes to an end with a 3rd-place finish at the State Tournament. The Spartans capped off one of the most successful seasons in program history, highlighted by the program’s first-ever Metro West Conference Championship, a Section Championship, and a spot on the podium at State.

Congratulations to Dylan Kringen, who fired a two-day total of 143 to earn a tie for 5th place individually.

Thank you to our seniors and congratulations to the entire team on an unforgettable season. We are proud of you, Spartans!

Congratulations to Dylan Collins on being named Ms. Lacrosse, an award presented annually to the most outstanding senior girls lacrosse player in Minnesota.

Dylan recently capped off a historic career at Orono as the program’s all-time leader in goals (313), assists (136), and total points (449). Her impact on the program and dedication to the sport have left a lasting legacy.

Congratulations, Dylan, on this well-deserved honor! We are proud of you and all that you have accomplished as a Spartan.

Final day at the MSHSL Class AAA State Golf Tournament!

Boys Golf begins at 8:15 AM, looking to climb the leaderboard after entering the day tied for 4th place and just eight shots off the lead.

Nora Benson tees off at 12:27 PM for her final round.
