🌿 Grace & Courtesy in Montessori 🌿

In a Montessori classroom, children are intentionally taught how to care for themselves, others, and their environment. This includes using kind words, waiting patiently, respecting personal space, using gentle hands, and being helpful to others. 🤍

Children learn that being part of a community means noticing when someone needs help, offering assistance, and caring for one another. These everyday moments help children develop kindness, empathy, confidence, independence, and respect. 🌱✨

Grace and Courtesy lessons may seem like small moments, but they help children build the social skills they will carry with them far beyond the classroom.

Practical Life is at the heart of a Montessori classroom. 🌿
You may see a child snapping fabric, practicing zippering, polishing shoes, preparing food, washing dishes, completing puzzles, or painting—but each activity serves a much deeper purpose.

These carefully designed activities help children develop:
• Fine motor strength and hand-eye coordination
• Concentration and attention to detail
• Independence and self-confidence
• Sequencing and problem-solving skills
• Care for themselves, others, and their environment

By repeating meaningful, real-life tasks, children build the foundation for future academic learning while experiencing the joy and pride that comes from doing something for themselves.

☀️welcome to Summer! 💦🫧🎨
Our first Water Day, Bubble Day, and Chalk Day were filled with sensory exploration, creativity, friendship, and lots of smiles. Every splash, swirl, and chalk mark became an opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate the season! A beautiful reminder that learning happens everywhere, through play, movement, imagination, and meaningful moments together. 🌿

What a wonderful way to wrap up the school year! 🌟

Our final week was filled with excitement, learning, and celebration. The bug expert visited Children’s House and introduced us to some fascinating creatures. Many of our students showed incredible bravery by touching, and even holding the bugs! 🐛🕷️

We also celebrated our graduates as they prepare for their next adventure. Graduation was a beautiful event, and while we are so proud of all they have accomplished, they will be greatly missed. 🎓❤️

Our Picnic in the Park was a huge success! Families gathered together to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors, making memories and celebrating another amazing year. ☀️🧺

One special highlight from this spring was welcoming our “Head of School for a Day” auction winner. After being purchased at our Spring Auction, these students had a blast helping around the school, checking students in and out, and even enjoying lunch with Karissa! 📋✨

Thank you to our students, families, and staff for making this school year so memorable. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer! 🌻
