LONG ISLAND CITY NEW SCHOOL BUILDING SURVEY FOR DISTRIBUTION:
Are you a resident of District 30 and have a child who currently attends, or who may attend, school in Long Island City? If so, New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) is seeking your feedback regarding new school planning and buildings coming to the area!
NYCPS is planning to open a new elementary school with Kindergarten in the 2026-27 school year. This school will eventually move to one of two new school buildings under construction in the Long Island City area but is planned to open earlier at a temporary site in advance of moving to its long-term location.
We want to hear from you! Please complete this survey to share feedback on which temporary site should house the new school in the 2026-27 school year and which of the two new buildings should be its long-term location. This survey is available in English, Spanish and Bengali. Please select your language at the top right corner of your device.
