Just a reminder that the studio will be closed tomorrow Friday, June 19th, 2026 in observance of Juneteenth. There will be no classes, benchtime, or any access to the studio except for key holders. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, June 20th at 10 am.

Traveling to Massachusetts this summer? Beloved handmaking teaching Liberty Valance and Associate Artist Sheila Ross, aka have work in an exhibition titled Cats in Contemporary Art at the Salem Cat Museum . This exhibition, which features work by more than 70 local and international known artists, explores past, present, and future feline culture from the late 20th and 21st centuries, in a variety of mediums. Sheila and Liberty have ceramics installed. The Salem Cat Museum is located at 107 Boston St, Salem, MA 01970. Museum hours are Thursdays through Mondays 11am - 6pm. This exhibition runs until July 28, 2026.

Associate artist Diana Holguin, and , has been very busy in the studio lately creating some truly unique pieces including a series of self watering succulent planters like the ones featured here. Each of these gorgeous planters has been meticulously designed and as you can see are all one of a kind!

A view of the participants at the incredible workshop facilitated by the fabulous artist, Jennifer McCurdy at Brickhouse this past weekend! Jennifer demonstrated her techniques for throwing, altering, and carving her porcelain masterpieces! It was an amazing day!

The loose combination of slips and glazes on this pot by Associate artist Jeff Blath, is highly effective. The restrained use of both lets the simplicity and beauty of this form really shine! Sometimes less really is more!

Brickhouse Ceramic Art Center is participating in LIC Spring, , the best block party in Queens today, Saturday May 30th, 2026! LIC Springs is a community block festival celebrating Long Island City with live music, dance and performances, plus interactive lessons, art, outdoor dining, pop-up activities, games and more. Drop by and see what surprises Brickhouse has up our sleeves today! We are located in Block 2 on the map (between 49th and 48th Avenue on Vernon Boulevard. This several block event on Vernon Boulevard is free and open to the public from 12-5pm. We hope you will drop by and say hello!

Associate artist Sheila Ross has expanded her new Tuxie Cat collection. Bowls and Mugs are going to be launched for the first time tomorrow at The Pottery Fair at Old Stone House located at 4th Street and 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. This one day event is Saturday May 30th, 2026 from 10am - 5pm! Not a cat fan? There will be lots of other crowd favourites including mugs and bowls with clouds Skulls, sunflowers, and mushrooms and more!

Check out Joanne Colon, , another Brickhouse artist who will be participating in The Pottery Fair at Old Stone House located at 4th Street and 5th Avenue in Brooklyn this Saturday May 30th, 2026 from 10am - 5pm! Joanne will have plenty of wheel thrown vases like these, her charmingly decorated mugs and cups, sake sets bowls and more! This weekend is going to be clear skied, crisp and beautiful! It will be a perfect weekend to check out all the amazing artists and their work.

These adorably little boxes by associate artist Nushin Nazari, will be available at the Pottery Fair this Saturday May 30th, 2026 from 10am - 5pm at The Pottery Fair. Come visit Nushin and fall in love with these beautifully crafted miniatures at Old Stone House located at 4th Street and 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. Nushin is one of several Brickhouse artists who will be participating in this event!
