Three siblings, MD Siddique, Amena Shamia, and Nadia Begum have brought their Bangladeshi 🇧🇩 traditions and values to New York City and LaGuardia Community College.

They plan to serve the Bengali community by sharing their knowledge of , , and . After moving to the US, they applied to several and decided to enroll at . These three first-generation college students are part of the CUNY ASAP (Accelerated Study in Associate Programs); they have been involved in various programs, such as America Needs You, and the Queens Academy.

It’s never too late to go to college!

96-year-old Violet Edwards becomes one of the oldest people to graduate college. The Jamaica native, who now lives in South Florida, had to postpone her collegiate journey to focus on her family initially. Many years later, after adapting to learning online, Edwards earned her associate degree in liberal arts.
