Today, Growing Up Green celebrates Custodian Appreciation Day! We’re so grateful for our Facilities teams and all they do for our schools each and every day. No matter the weather or what comes their way, they’re always there to keep our schools running and have our backs. Thank you for everything you do for our GUG community!

Hello GUG families, we have great news! Growing Up Green is partnering with Smile New York Outreach to offer in-school dental care! Children will be treated by their licensed, highly trained staff in a portable clinic that meets all CDC and Department of Health guidelines.

No Cost to You:
Smile New York Outreach is required to bill insurance for care, so please provide dental insurance information if you have it. But, you will never receive a bill or request for any payment from Smile NY. All children are seen, even if they don’t have insurance.

Dates: November 4th & 5th

Note: This is an optional service provided by GUGCS. If you regularly see a dentist, you do not need to sign up.

We’re so excited to introduce you to Ms. Jamie Mascarenhas, our Director of Support Services at Growing Up Green I Charter Schools!

From the very first moment Ms. Mascarenhas stepped onto our campus, she felt something special: a true sense of family, joy, and community. The smiles in the hallways, the laughter in the classrooms, and the positive energy throughout the building made her know that Growing Up Green was where she wanted to be. 💚

Our 5th graders at GUG I Elementary are working through a Still Life Station Rotation in art class! Using flowers as their subject, students are practicing their observation skills by looking closely at the shapes and lines they see and exploring different ways to represent them through art. 🎨💐
