"Grease that Confidence Wheel". Post 3

Danny didn’t stop being cool—he just started being real.
That’s the magic formula: confidence with substance.
You don’t have to ditch your vibe to be taken seriously.
You just have to show people what’s underneath the leather jacket.
Trust me—it’s even better.

Rizzo's Rules

Rizzo’s ballad wasn’t about regret—it was a power move.
She stood in her messiness and said,
“You don’t have to like me. But you will see me.”
That’s the kind of confidence that doesn’t come from approval.
It comes from being brave enough to be real.
There are worse things you could do than being too much.
Like playing small when you were born to be loud. 🔥

"Grease that Confidence Wheel". Post 1

Remember the end of Grease?
Sandy struts in, unapologetic, powerful, fully herself.
Here’s the secret: she didn’t “change”—she just stopped hiding.
Confidence isn’t a makeover. It’s letting the version of you that’s been waiting backstage finally take the spotlight.
Tell me about it, stud and studette. 😏

The best communicators I know are not the ones with the slickest speech.
They’re the ones who:
✅ Slow down
✅ Breathe
✅ Are present
✅ Listen
✅ Respond
In 1:1 conversations, you don’t need to overdeliver. You need to actually be there.
That’s when people start listening back.

To paraphrase Stephen Sondheim:

🎼 George looks within:
George is adrift
George doesn't listen
George isn't there🎵

Don't be George!!!

Most people listen to reply, not to understand. Which means most people miss the point entirely.
But here’s a secret: if you really listen—like put-down-your-inner-monologue listen—you don’t have to work so hard to respond.
Because now you’re in the conversation, not performing it.
It’s not magic. It’s presence. And it makes you a better coach, leader, human.

Thanks, .t.chavez for the art.

Impromptu Chats & Anxiety (a.k.a. “That Panic Spiral”)

That moment when someone says, “Can we talk for a sec?” and your brain screams, “Oh no.”
Welcome to the anxiety spiral of impromptu conversation.
Here’s how to pause the panic:

Breathe (yes, really)

Ground yourself in the moment—not in the story your brain is making up

Trust that you’ll know what to say when you actually listen

You don’t need to be a communication ninja. You just need to show up as a human.

There’s nothing like that spark.

I coach because I live for that moment.
That moment when the lightbulb goes on.
When someone takes a deep breath and says,
“Oh. I can totally do this.”

Whether it’s:
🔹 A tough conversation you finally face
🔹 A new job you’re stepping into
🔹 A project you’ve been stuck on for months
🔹 Or just a feeling you’re meant for more…

…I’m here to help. No judgment. Just support, strategy, and belief — and maybe a few showtunes along the way.

If you're ready to move, grow, or just feel heard — I’ve got you.

Let’s spark something big.

A little something on tenacity equaling creativity. My six year old daughter picked up the violin in January of 2023. In less than 16 months she was asked to represent the young violinists at the School for Strings Gala (Proud parent brag - Only two violinists were asked to perform. My 6 year old daughter and a 17 year old). All this to say that a lot of think hashtag and hashtag are given to us from on high, but actually it takes constant hashtag and care to wanna get good at something. Thoughts?

Happy World Art Day. was created to raise awareness about creative endeavors worldwide. It also happens to be Leonardo DaVinchi's Birthday.
I wrote an EP for my musical, An Un-Hero's Journey , that is currently trending on . I'll post that link in the comments. But I wanna know how you are bringing art and creativity into your business and daily pursuits. DM me or lemme know in the comments.

PS - That ermine looks sinister. Giving real saboteur energy.

Communication 4 of 4

Conciseness:

“Oil can”. That’s all the Tinman needed. We've all encountered those who drone on in meetings, losing sight of the original topic. Imagine delivering your point in ten impactful words, and then consider doing it in five. Clear and concise communication saves time and promotes better understanding.

These are just some of the ways we can make communication better and less about us. Come practice these skills with me. I promise to actively listen, be of service, and concise. See what I did there?
