Whether it’s your very first day at Shepard or the start of another year with us, we hope tonight is filled with excitement for all that’s ahead.

Tomorrow, we begin a new year of learning, growing, building relationships, and creating memories together — one step at a time. 👣

We spent part of today learning, collaborating, sharing ideas, and preparing for the year ahead. There’s something pretty special about seeing our teachers and staff reconnect and work together with one goal in mind — creating a great experience for our students.

Family Week is right around the corner! From Sunday, July 26th through Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, North Scott is officially hitting the pause button on all school activities.

Here is what you need to know:

Time to Unplug: There will be no access to school facilities, practices, camps, or team/club communications. We want our entire Lancer community to take a well-deserved break and focus on family.

Ag & FFA Exception: You’ll still see our hard-working FFA and Agriculture students on campus as they make final preparations for the Mississippi Valley Fair and the Iowa State Fair! 🌾 Hard work pays off—Go Lancers!

Take this week to recharge, explore our awesome Eldridge community, host a family game night, or simply relax together. Enjoy the quality time!

We said goodby to our 6th Graders. We said goodbye to our students. We said goodbye so some of our staff and we said goodbye to Mr Ruth. Now it is time to say goodbye to the 25-26 school year and hello to summer!!

We hope everyone has a fun and safe summer. We will miss you. See you in the fall!

4th Grade ended their year with an eyeball dissection. They may be playing games today, but they worked hard to the very end. All the students were very brave and stepped up to the challenge.

3rd Grade had an incredible time at the Rock Creek Marina a few weeks back. They couldn't have had more perfect weather either.

6th grade is getting ready to finish out their elementary career. Today, they showed off their final presentation to family and friends, then went to North Scott Junior High School to get a taste of what next year will bring. We are so sad to see them go, but know that they are ready to take on the next adventure!
