Wednesday and Thursday this week were outstanding evenings of music at LBMS with our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Band, Chorus, and Orchestra groups as well as our Chamber Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, LBMS Singers, and Jazz Band! This year’s concerts also marked a milestone for our school community as we recognized Mr. Lobenstein for his many years of service to our school and district fostering dedication and musical excellence in our student musicians and wishing him well in his retirement. Thanks to Director, Mrs. Lang-Shapiro, for her leadership of the music department and to our incredibly dedicated music educators, Mrs. Farrell, Mr. Lobenstein, Mr. Marks, and Mr. Neri for their support of their students! Thank you to Mr. Scheinson for his piano accompaniment for our chorus at all four concerts and thank you also to student teacher, Mr. Soria, who did an excellent job student teaching in our chorus classes and leading our student musicians through several pieces! Congratulations to all of our student musicians for an incredible concert series and thank you to all of the Board of Education members, Central Administration, staff, students, families, and community members who came out to support our amazing performers both evenings! 🎶
