Want to build, decorate, and fly your very own sled kite? Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where kids will dive into the history of kites, explore global kite designs, and create their own unique flying masterpiece! Led by pro kite flier and World Sport Kite judge Lisa Willoughby, this experience ends with kids flying their creations in the LBIF parking lot; and they can take their kites to the sky again at the LBI Kite Festival this October! 🪁🪁

WEEK 7: Dreaming Trees & the Enchanted Forest🌳💫

This week, campers explored the world of dreams and let their imaginations take root. Campers were inspired by surreal landscapes and master artists to craft personal worlds filled with wonder. Artist Anna Krain will be inspiring campers while building a forest of dreams in the CAC.

Special thanks to visiting artist Anna Krain, who worked with campers and inspired them to create a forest dream installation in the CAC. Her work (including the collaborative pieces made this week) will be on display this weekend as part of the LBI Artists Studio Tour; don’t miss it!

We also welcomed back former science counselors Trevor Gouveia and Paige Radcliffe, who returned to lead a hands-on science lesson with our students.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this week such a memorable one!
