Meet Our Teacher…
Ms. Shalon!

“Hello, I’m Ms. Shalon, owner and teacher at Bixby Early Learning! Born and raised in Bixby Highlands, I’ve always had a deep passion for education and working with children. I spent over seven years teaching with LBUSD before welcoming my daughter, Abigayle. When I had trouble finding a daycare that met my expectations, I decided to open my own — a place where children could learn, play, and grow in a nurturing environment that truly feels like home.
For more than 10 years, I operated a successful daycare that received only positive feedback from families. Later, I expanded my experience by working in Behavior Therapy for three years, supporting children on the autism spectrum. While I loved that work, my heart has always belonged to early childhood care — and I’m so happy to be back doing what I love most!
At my daycare, I believe in partnering with parents to provide the very best care for each child. Every day includes hands-on learning, creative play, and activities designed to build confidence, curiosity, and kindergarten readiness. My goal is to create a joyful, safe, and enriching space where children can thrive and families feel supported.
