Visitors are encouraged to turn the handles, push the buttons, and twist the knobs to make their own personal discoveries of the science behind the display. When visiting the Science Learning Center, you will find a great many exhibits including a Scanning Electron Microscope, a 750-gallon marine aquarium, a Musser Copernican Planetarium, Wimhurst generator, Vacuum Bell Jar, and Fluorescent Minerals Display, and the Etherwave Theramin. Additional hands-on exploration exhibits include Fossils, Minerals, Butterflies, and Soap Bubbles. Visits to the SLC are welcome between the times of 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and are designed to highlight the grade-appropriate science curriculum.
