One of our tasks to get points for the pianolympiad this summer was to “write an encouraging note to another piano student”- it’s been so nice to read these super kind and positive notes from all of my students. And to watch them take a moment to read them for themselves! 📝

This fall, I celebrated my 20th year teaching and today is the five year anniversary of when I received my keys to the studio. What a wild 5 years it has been!
I’m so grateful that my business survived Covid, and that I have such wonderful students coming in and out of these doors everyday.
Running a small business is incredibly challenging on a daily basis (anyone else in Southern Ca had a leaky roof this week? 😂😂) and keeps you very busy, but it has been the absolute most fulfilling adventure of my life. 🎹

Every school year someone in our studio inevitably wins the unfortunate position of receiving the “Broken Bone” award. And somehow it’s always just before a performance!
This year, it’s O, but she is TITANIUM and still going to play at one of our performances this month with her good hand!

Yet another completed primer book! M was excited to write her name in the back (and have me sign the certificate) and took a moment to enjoy comparing her handwriting from this year to last (when we wrote her name in the front of the book to get started!)
Amazing what a difference a year makes in both your handwriting AND piano.
