This is the offical page for the Food Science Club at California State University, Long Beach. We have meetings every month.

We are an Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) nationally recognized chapter. Food Science Club is a great way to get involved on campus, and here are some of the things we do:

College Bowl Competition
Professional Development
Food & Brewery Tours, and more! You do not have to be a Food Science major to join the club.

The Food Science Club is looking for a Public Relations Officer ASAP! This position is open to all majors! Social media experience is a plus, but our executive board can help support you if you have no prior experience.

We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with the student body, has an interest in food science, and can start immediately!

Please join the Food Science Club in welcoming guest speaker Bradley Cardozo Ph.D for an Earth Day webinar on climate justice and food sovereignty. Dr. Cardozo will introduce topics of climate justice and food sovereignty in addition to discussing his work with climate activists in the Philippines.
Bradley Cardozo is a cultural anthropologist and a lecturer in Asian & Asian American Studies and Geography at California State University, Long Beach. He specializes in social movements for environmental and climate justice and in Philippine, Southeast Asian, and Transpacific Studies. His dissertation and first book project is on the climate-justice movement in the Philippines. He received his PhD in socio-cultural anthropology from UCLA.

Consider joining the Sustainability Fellows Program. This leadership program was created, sponsored, and coordinated by the President’s Commission on Sustainability (PCS) and the CSU Long Beach Office of Sustainability. The Sustainability Fellows program provides students with opportunities to gain recognition for their participation and leadership in activities that expand their own climate and environmental knowledge while contributing to creating healthier, more resilient, and more equitable communities on and off campus.
The deadline to apply is Sunday, April 21, 2024.
