Congratulations Spartans! We raised just under $60,000 for our incredible school during the Spartan Sprint Color Run fundraising campaign! That’s about $10,000 OVER our goal!

Today we announced the top earners and gave out prizes - top earners pied Principal Thompson in the face! Congratulations to Bella (middle school), Justus (3rd grade), and Cru (kindergarten) - they all received a $100 Amazon gift card! Noelle (4th grade) was our raffle winner (all fundraising participants were entered to win) and she won a free week of summer camp at Camp Galileo!

Top earning classes will get a pizza party and special science lab after spring break - congratulations to Ms. Strouse’s kinder class, Ms. Keeton’s 3rd grade class, and Mr. Sauerheber’s middle school homeroom will get a pizza party!

A special shout-out to Ms. King’s kinder class who had 100% fundraising participation on Pledgestar! They’ll get a popsicle party!

And because all students worked hard and met our goal - ALL students get a free dress day on Thursday!!

Spartan Sprint Day 1 🌈 The rain cleared up just in time for the first run! A beautiful day!

We have hit our goal and kept on going!! We have raised over $54,500 for our incredible school and we are over the moon! Thank you to everyone who worked hard to get us across the finish line! Because we hit our goal, the entire school gets a FREE DRESS DAY on April 6th - the day before Spring Break begins! Woohoo!!! Pledgestar will stay open for donations through the end of next week - so if you still had friends who wanted to donate they still can!

Hi All! Middle School run schedule correction! Thursday is an A day and Friday is a B day for middle schoolers and they will run during their PE period. We had the A/B reversed - we apologize for any confusion this may have caused! Please see the updated schedule (elementary is unchanged). Parents are welcome to watch their kiddos run during their allotted time - just sign in at the front gate and head back to the track! We can’t wait!!

Hi Newcomb Families! Here is the running schedule and color assignments for Spartan Sprint. Students may come decked out from head to toe in their color on the day they’re running. Middle School is organized by homeroom for color assignments and fundraising but will be running during their PE class. Parents and loved ones are welcome to come cheer their students on during their run time! Check in at the front gate to sign in and then you’ll be directed to the black top! Questions? We had so much fun at the Spartan Sprint Rally this morning! The kids are pumped to show their school spirit and help raise money for Newcomb! Bonus: Mr. Robert got pied in the face by 3 students that passed the Spartan Sprint quiz - thank you for helping us get the kids excited, Mr. Robert!!!

Also, we raised another $1,800 since yesterday! Great work, Spartans!!! Let’s keep it going!

Camp Galileo has supported the Newcomb Academy Foundation, PTSA and our school since 2019! One lucky Spartan will win a free week of camp by participating in Spartan Sprint!

Today is the last day of their early bird enrollment for summer day camp!

Camp Galileo is a summer day camp that engages rising K – 8th graders in creative STEAM-inspired projects and active outdoor games. Galileo's dynamic staff inspires kids to turn ideas into reality, collaborate with peers and play hard outside. Stanford research shows that kids who participate in Galileo’s curriculum tend to persevere at unfamiliar challenges, share their ideas more freely and respond better in the face of failure.
