In other news, due to some circumstances we could not control, BBSA is no longer hosting our annual Sankofa event. Again, BBSA along with NSBE IS NOT HAVING SANKOFA THIS YEAR! This is an unfortunate situation, but we hope that all of you can understand. We truly apologize for any inconvenience. We hope that you all still support this organization and all the efforts we did make create other events for you all to attend. Thank you all and have a productive rest of the week.

SANKOFA is just a few weeks away!!! This event is taking place on APRIL 15, 2014 in the Huntington Room, located in the USU 2nd Floor from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. We will have guest speakers and food! Please bless this event your presence! We look forward to seeing you all there!!

Spring Break is also HERE!!! BBSA would like to just tell all of you to have a safe and relaxing break! Enjoy this time off from school :)

Just a reminder: Employers from various companies will be coming to CSULB for internship week to inform students about what their company has to offer! For TODAY, the following companies will hold informational sessions:

BET Networks: (2:30 PM-3:30 PM) BH-250
VANS (4:00 PM-5:00 PM) BH-250

If you can, come and see if these companies have the types of internships YOU are looking for. This a wonderful opportunity, so please take advantage.

Also, keep in mind that the 2014 Hospitality Management Career Fair, is taking place TODAY, March 25, 2014 from 4:00PM-7:00PM in the USU Ballrooms! Come prepared to network with various hospitality-related employers.

Internship Week is in full swing! Taking place from March 24-27, 2014, employers from various companies ranging from BET Networks (March 25 from 2:30 PM-3:30 PM; there is still room to RSVP on Beachlink, under the events tab, under information sessions), VANS (March 25 4:00 PM-5:00PM; RSVPs are full but it doesn’t hurt to still try and squeeze in) ROSS Stores (March 26 from 3:30 PM-4:30 PM), NASA (everyone has wanted to be an astronaut at some point in their lives right?) and a host of other companies will come in and do either information sessions or workshops about their particular company /brand. It is strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity! All of these events will be held in the Career Development Center, located in Brotman Hall-250, unless specified otherwise.

BBSA will be participating in the 2014 Hospitality Management Career Fair, taking place TOMORROW, March 25, 2014 from 4:00PM-7:00PM in the USU Ballrooms! Check out employers from Starbucks, Chili’s, Marriot Int’l, The Westin and many, many more! Come dressed for success with resumes in tow. This is a FREE event for students, so you don’t want to miss it!

Last but not least, SANKOFA is around the corner! BBSA in conjunction with NSBE will host our annual event on APRIL 15, 2014 in the Huntington Room, located on the second floor of the USU from 5:00PM-8:00 PM with special guest speakers and food!! Come and get inspired!

BBSA will be participating in the 2014 Hospitality Management Career Fair, taking place next Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 4:00PM-7:00PM in the USU Ballrooms! Find out about part-time, full-time and internship opportunities available for all careers in the hospitality industry. Students at all levels will benefit. Network with representatives, local business owners, and national recruiters in hotel, restaurant and hospitality management. Businesses expected to be there include: Marriot Int’l, Hyatt Regency, Chili’s, Bubba Gump Shrimp, The Westin, Garden Fresh Restaurants, Lazy Dog Café, Starbucks and many more! This event is FREE for all students; the dress code is business casual and bring copies of your resume if you have one. You don’t want to miss this opportunity!

On to other news: BBSA in conjunction with NSBE is planning our annual event SANKOFA! This is set to take place APRIL 15, 2014 from 5:00PM-8:00PM in the Huntington Room located in the USU, second floor. We will have some VERY special guest speakers and food! Please come and prepare to be inspired!

Please come and get informed on the many campus resources YOU can utilize to improve the quality of your collegiate experience here at Cal State Long Beach! We hope to see you all in attendance!
