Free Dental Cleaning for Veterans
On Monday, Nov. 10, Dr.
Seza Barsamian’s dental office will host its annual Veterans Day event for the 12th consecutive year and serving retired veterans.
Veterans will receive a dental checkup, Xrays, and a regular dental cleaning at no cost, by appointment only, at 4022 Katella Ave., Suite 206, Los Alamitos, 90720. Call in advance to make an appointment at 562596-4439.

Celebrate, recognize and honor Veterans at the 2025 Long Beach Veterans Day Celebration.

The Veterans Day Celebration returns to Houghton Park on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, from noon to 4 p.m. This free, family-friendly event that celebrates and honors veterans and those currently serving in the United States military. The Veterans Day Celebration features:
• Veterans and community resources fair
• Food trucks and a beer garden
• Flyovers with historic aircraft (at 12:30 p.m.)
• Kids’ zone
• Bootcamp-style obstacle course
• All Day DJ sets by Mr. Quick (also event emcee)
• The Satin Dollz (at 1:15 p.m.)
• Knyght Ryder (at 2:30 p.m.)
• Free Community Flu Vaccination Clinic

Veterans Recognition Ceremony Honorees

Individuals and organizations who have demonstrated outstanding service to the veterans’ community will be honored at the Veterans Recognition Ceremony, taking place at 12:30 p.m. This year’s honorees are:

• Gus Orozco, “2025 Veterans Day Celebration Grand Marshal”
• American Gold Star Manor Long Beach, “Outstanding Community Organization”
• Ryan Antes, “Outstanding Volunteer”
• Skip Keesal, “In Memoriam”

ADA parking and the Paratransit drop off are located on Harding Street between Atlantic and Myrtle.
