The Power of One LOS ALTOS team was honored to volunteer at the We Thrive Bag Drive hosted by the You Run This Town Foundation. An incredible time of giving back and supporting youth in our community. A special thank you to Sports Basement for providing a welcoming space for us. The volunteer team worked together to pack backpacks and duffel bags with essential items that will help provide comfort and support to young people in need. Saturday kids sparring. 😄

Sparring is so beneficial for kids. It develops reaction speed, timing, distance control, coordination, agility, footwork, controlled technique, quick decision-making under pressure, confidence, composure, emotional control, discipline, goal setting, sportsmanship, and respect. It teaches kids how to stay calm under pressure, deal with winning and losing, and actually apply their techniques against someone who is moving and reacting. So many valuable skills that carry over beyond karate. 🥋
