The Lab Learning Space has been selected as the Winner for the 2022 Best of Long Beach Awards in the category of Education Center.
The Lab Learning Space was established by a group of amazing families back in 2016. The Lab mixed in a number of diverse and experienced staff that contributed so much spirit and passion to the home school environment. This combination of wonderful parents and devoted teachers has created a formula that has helped mold our marvellous students into eager learners that truly love coming to learn at The Lab each day. The life-changing success stories of the students that have attended The Lab are not just heart-warming, but also encourage us to continue being that special place for many years to come.
The Lab wants to thank the many ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FAMILIES that have enriched The Lab from year to year. We are truly grateful for all the experiences. And a special thank you to those who nominated and selected The Lab Learning Space for the Best Education Center of 2022.

How can you not love science?! Teaching the students about the digestive system with a hands on activity, was the highlight of my week. “Mrs. Bennett, this is so gross!” YAAASSS I’m glad you’re enjoying it 🤣! What should we learn about next?
The students in Mr. T’s class enjoyed the Marshmallow Stem Challenge. Critical thinking, problem solving, and measurement skills all came in handy. The Littles aren’t the only ones having fun at The Lab!
Foggy Park Day
At The Lab some of the students spent time today completing a STEM challenge of saving a turkey by creating a Turkey Transporter. You’re welcome turkey :) Also, throughout the week the students learned about Native American culture by reading and writing about weaving, canoeing, wigwams, dreamcatchers, and symbol writing. All of the above activities involved students choosing how they wanted to take their learning further. The staff at The Lab are thankful to all the students and families for all of the support we receive daily! Happy Thanksgiving Break everyone!!
The Lab students were hard at work last week trying to get “fossils” out of the “dirt” as we learned a few fun facts about Paleontology during our Curiosity Studio time. We previously learned about NASA rockets and Plant growth. It’s always fun seeing the students learn in an unconventional way and enjoying it!
While learning about sequence, the students enthusiastically presented a play about the Gingerbread Man.
Hello Lab Families… looking forward to our third week. And we are excited to announce our initiative for our first family meet-n-greet!!! Stay tuned for details!
