Happy New Year from Musique Sur La Mer Orchestras, Long Beach, CA. Feel the joy as the Musique Sur La Mer Youth Orchestra performs the Radetzky March by Strauss in Salzburg, Austria - Marcy Sudock, conductor.
I am so proud of our Musique Sur La Mer Youth Orchestra and my students. They have donated and collected many wonderful new toys, games, puzzles and books to be donated to the Long Beach charity, For the Child AND wrote 120 holiday cards with personal noes of gratitude that will be distributed at the Long Beach VA Hospital to veterans.
Bravo, Musique Sur La Mer on a wonderful 22nd Annual Musique Sur la Mer Holiday Concert in Shoreline Village AND Toy Drive benefitting the Long Beach charity, “For the Child” And Card and Letter Drive for veterans in the Long Beach VA Hospital! Musique Sur La Mer Youth Orchestra started the day by creating cards and letters for those in locked down due to Covid local senior residences. We look forward to performing for them through Compassionate Artists as soon as they reopen in September.

Enjoy a snippet of Julian Leon’s performance of the final moves of Mendelssohn’s Violin concerto from last night. I am very proud of all of my students. They are passionate, musical, joyous and committed. 🎻🎶 Julian is the gold medalist in the Long Beach NAACP Act-So competition in the classical category. Julian is a student of Marcy Sudock, concertmaster of the Musique Sur La Mer Youth Symphony Orchestra, and a student at the Orange County School of the Arts.

Bravo, Musique Sur La Mer Youth Orchestra and our wonderful soloists on your wonderful performance today - Concert for Peace - Celebrating Diversity. I am so proud of you. Thank you to our many volunteers, our fabulous audience, our silent auction donors and winners and to the Center for Spiritual Living (concert hall) and John their masterful A/V person. Camp is filling in quickly and is FREE! We have room for the addition of the following intermediate and advanced middle and high school musicians: 5 more violins, 3 violas, 2 more cellos, 2 basses. 1 more flute/piccolo, 1 oboe, 1 more clarinet, 1 bassoon, 1 French horn, 1 more trumpet, 1 more trombone, 1 tuba, 2 percussionists. Camp includes 10 days of rehearsals plus master classes, fun activities, chamber ensemble workshops and 2 concerts! Camp takes place in our studio in beautiful Shoreline Village, Long Beach, Ca. www.mslmorchestra.com
