Every black belt, world champion, instructor, and leader at Power of One started the exact same way…

By taking that first step onto the mats. 🚶

A huge welcome to all of our new students who began their martial arts journey with us in May! 👊☝️

Right now, you may just be learning how to stand, punch, kick, and bow in. But what you’re really building is confidence, discipline, focus, perseverance, and the belief that you can do hard things.

The journey ahead won’t always be easy, but that’s what makes it worthwhile.

Keep showing up.
Keep learning.
Keep growing.

Months from now you’ll be amazed by your progress. Years from now you’ll be grateful you started.

Parents, thank you for investing in your children’s future and giving them the opportunity to grow stronger on and off the mats.

Welcome to the Power of One family. Your journey is just beginning! 🔥🥋

MARTIAL ARTS IS A MICROCOSM OF LIFE

Every challenge your child faces in martial arts, they’ll face again in life.

Success. Failure. Confidence. Fear. Leadership. Teamwork. Perseverance.

The difference is that on the mats, they get to experience those lessons in a safe environment with coaches, mentors, and parents helping shape the lens through which they see them.

That’s why martial arts is about so much more than punches, kicks, or belts.

It’s preparation for life.

❤️🥋

Step into the unknown for limitless GROWTH!

06/08/2026

We are proud! Power of One stepped it up! Congratulations on your wins and on your growth! Enjoy a few clips of our forms. Sparring and jiujitsu still to come! My apologies in advance as I wasn’t able to catch everyone on film!

🏅 Congratulations to all of our students who stepped out of their comfort zones and challenged themselves at this weekend’s competition!

While we’re always proud of the victories and medals earned, what makes us proudest are the victories that can’t be hung around your neck.

We saw students who were too nervous to compete last time step onto the mat with courage. We saw students challenge themselves in higher divisions. We saw competitors test themselves in new MMA-style events that combined continuous sparring and jiujitsu. Most importantly, we saw students push beyond perceived limits and discover a strength they didn’t know they had.

THIS is why we compete.

Not because of the gold medals, although those are certainly fun, but because of who you become in the process.

We lived these lessons ourselves as young martial artists. We watched our own children grow through them. And now we have the privilege of watching our students experience the same transformation, each on their own timeline.

The confidence. The resilience. The courage to face uncertainty. The ability to keep going when things get difficult.

Those are the real rewards.

Be proud of your accomplishments this weekend. They matter. But never forget that the person you’re becoming is worth far more than any trophy or medal.

Keep growing. Keep challenging yourself. Keep showing up.

The best lessons are found just outside your comfort zone. ❤️🖤🥋

🥋 Congratulations to all of our Jiujitsu students who recently leveled up!

Every stripe and every belt represents something much bigger than a rank. It represents classes attended, challenges overcome, lessons learned, and the discipline to keep showing up even when progress isn’t always obvious.

Jiujitsu has a way of teaching patience, humility, resilience, and problem-solving—all while building confidence on the mats and beyond.

We’re proud of the growth you’ve already achieved, but remember: this isn’t the finish line. It’s simply another step forward on a lifelong journey of learning and improvement.

Keep training, growing and showing up.

The best is yet to come. 💪❤️🖤

☀️👕 Summer is officially… Power of One T-Shirt Season!

As the temperatures rise, students are welcome to wear their favorite Power of One t-shirts to class all summer long. It’s a great way to stay cool while showing your dojo pride! ❤️🖤

As many of you know, we are a uniform-based martial arts school. Uniformity helps create a team atmosphere where everyone feels included, focused, and equal. It also helps us avoid clothing that may be distracting or unintentionally offensive to others.

For that reason, only official Power of One shirts may be worn in place of the traditional uniform top. (Jiujitsu classes still require a full gi.)

Thank you for helping us maintain the positive culture, respect, and professionalism that make our dojo special. Every time you wear your Power of One gear, you’re representing a community built on confidence, discipline, leadership, and growth.

Now let’s see those favorite PO1 shirts on the mats this summer! ☀️🥋

🌟 Student of the Month: Ari 🌟

Some students stand out because of their talent. Others stand out because of their attitude. Ari stands out because of both.

Ari is a bundle of positive energy who has a special way of making friends, encouraging others, and leading students both younger and older than himself. His smile is contagious, his attitude is uplifting, and he makes our dojo a better place simply by being himself.

What we admire most is that despite already accomplishing so much, he remains hungry to learn and grow. Ari has challenged himself by competing on the opposite side of the world—not once, but twice—and continues to show up ready to improve every time he steps onto the mats.

This Sunday, the very last day of the month, Ari finished strong by spending over 3.5 hours in the dojo between belt testing and competition training. That’s the kind of commitment that creates champions—not just in martial arts, but in life.

Thank you, Ari, for being such a positive example of what leadership, perseverance, and a great attitude look like. Keep working hard, keep inspiring others, and keep being you. We’re proud to have you as our May Student of the Month! 👏🥋❤️

It’s been a busy and exciting weekend of belt promotions, competition training, and new beginnings at the Power of One! 🥋❤️

Congratulations to every student who leveled up and earned their next rank through hard work, focus, and perseverance.

Respect to all of those preparing for competition. Win or lose, the real growth happens in the courage to step up, challenge yourself, and continue improving.

And a big welcome to all of our newest students who took that first step onto the mats to begin their martial arts journey. Every black belt was once a beginner who simply decided to start.

Most importantly, parents, give yourselves a well-deserved pat on the back. These moments don’t happen without your commitment, encouragement, and willingness to invest in your children’s growth.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of the journey. Together, we’re building stronger, more confident, and more resilient young leaders one class at a time. And lastly, to the team of Black belts that continues to give and share with their students - You rock!

There’s something special about siblings training together. ❤️🥋

Yes, it’s great having an older brother or sister who always has your back… but it’s even better when both kids are learning how to become their own superheroes too. 💪

Through martial arts, siblings learn how to encourage each other, challenge each other, and grow together through every belt rank, every class, and every obstacle they overcome side by side.

Over the years we’ve watched hundreds of brothers and sisters build stronger bonds on these mats… learning confidence, discipline, self-defense, respect, and teamwork together along the journey.

Some of the best friendships and memories start right at home. These were just a few sibling moments we caught over the past couple days and they made us smile. 🙌

Families that train together truly grow stronger together. 🖤❤️
