Poly's Gay straight Alliance was created to give LGBTQ and Allied students a safe place to be themselves, discuss anti-bullying strategies, become peer counselors for fellow students, and more. The club not only focuses on the classroom aspect of learing, but focus on taking the knowledge they gain and applying it to society through activism to spread tolerance, love, and peace through the understanding of diversity.

Thursday we are planning to pick back up with the groups we were working in for the brief presentations. Also, we will send those who signed up to be peer counselors updates via School Loop so if you signed up and don't check SL on a daily basis you should start checking it at least every other day. There is still time to present a significant person for LGBT History Month if you so wish to. If the person was not on the LGBT History Month list you MUST get it approved first by myself or Mrs. Hale-Hanes. We are planning to move into su***de awareness soon and are hoping to do something like Yellow Ribbon for the entire school. So if you have not signed up to be a peer counselor and are interested please either SL, email, or tell me in person or Mrs. Hale-Hanes. Cya at the meeting! Remeber to get friends you know are in the GSA and have a FB to like this page so they can get updates on future happenings!

GSA meeting Thursday in room 252 at lunch. We're presenting those short projects of the people from the "31 Days, 31 Stories, 31 Lives" campaign for LGBT History Month! Also, wear purple for Poly's LGBTQ Spirit Day! Let's see how creative you can get! ;D
