The Reno Air Races are not just another airshow, they are one of a kind aviation experience. From modified Mustangs and other warbirds swooping around the pylons reaching speeds of nearly 500 mph as low as 50 feet above the ground, to sleek corporate jets and military aircraft demonstrations, there is something here for all aviation enthusiasts. Sadly, after 59 years of this spectacular aviation gathering at Reno, Stead Field, the National Championship Air Races are waving the checkered flag for one last showdown. The races will continue at a new location, but the the glory that came from Reno will never be matched.
