Robin knows firsthand what it takes to defy the odds. As a single mom who fought her way through chemical engineering, she is living proof that with determination, you can build a historic career. Now, we're building a lifelong ecosystem of "DemoScholars" and industry leaders to lift the next generation up.

Day 3 of ACE Construction Week took us into the heart of creativity and innovation with deep dives at RDC. and Arktura. Our scholars and friends at Operation Jump Start stepped off the job site and into the design studio, exploring how architectural concepts and advanced manufacturing come together to shape the modern world. The students were fascinated by the high-tech environments, and seeing the fusion of art and engineering gave them a whole new perspective on where a career in construction and design can take them.
To keep this momentum growing, we’re focusing on making these studio visits even more impactful by moving toward smaller cohorts for more personalized mentorship. We also heard the call for more representation of women and people of color in these specialized fields, and we’re committed to bringing more diverse voices to the table to show our students that they belong in every room they enter.
We’re already looking into "take-home" projects to ensure that the inspiration from these creative spaces stays with them long after the week is over!
