WRITING CONTEST: DIG Magazine is now accepting scary story submissions for its October issue. The winner will be published in the October issue of DIG Magazine and will receive a $15 ITunes Gift Card. Email submissions to Vivian Gatica at [email protected]. All submissions must be received by 10am Sunday, August 25th. Stories will be posted on Facebook as they are received, and the author whose story receives the most ‘likes’ by September 11th will be the winner. The person who ‘likes’ your story must ‘like’ the DIG Magazine page in order for his or her vote to count.

Program Council will be hosting tryouts for the Slam Poetry Team on Monday, September 23rd, and Tuesday, September 24th from noon to 5pm in the University Student Union (USU 307). NOTE: You only have to attend one of the dates to try out.

The team is a group of five students that will compete in regional and national competitions at ACUI (Association of College Unions International).
