Center for Human Factors in Advanced Aeronautics Technologies(CHAAT)

Center for Human Factors in Advanced Aeronautics Technologies(CHAAT) CHAAT performs on-going research to measure human performance in complex systems such as the Next Generation Airspace Transportation System (NextGen).

CHAAT is a research lab associated with the Masters of Science Psychology Human Factors Option Degree Program at California State University Long Beach, a program accredited by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society(HFES). CHAAT is:

-A NASA Group 5 University Research Center (URC)
-A multidisciplinary venue for human factors research
-Focused on the evaluation and design of air traffic mana

gement concepts and technologies
-Training students in human factors methods and techniques
-Providing support for underrepresented students to pursue careers in scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) careers
