September is packed with community, creativity, school spirit, and FUN at Newcomb!

Save this post and mark your calendars because there’s something happening all month long!

⭐ Sept. 7 – Labor Day | No School
🍔 Sept. 8 – Spirt Night @ The Stand
📸 Sept. 10 – Picture Day for TK–4th Grade + Free Dress Day
📸 Sept. 11 – Picture Day for 5th–8th Grade + Free Dress Day
🎨 Sept. 15 – National Dot Day
🎒 Sept. 17 – Minimum Day + Back to School Night, 5–7 PM (More info to come)
👕 Sept. 18 – College T-Shirt Friday! Every Friday. Don’t forget uniform bottoms.
🖌️ Sept. 21 – Sankofa Community Art Night (more info to come)
🎬 Sept. 25 – PTSA Movie Night at 6:30 PM
🤝 Sept. 29 – PTSA/NAF/Sankofa Joint Meeting, 6:30–8 PM in the library

Movie Night is coming, and we are so excited to invite everyone to a fun night under the stars! Join us on Friday, September 25 for a special showing of Inside Out 2! 💙💚💛❤️💜

Gates open at 6:30 PM, and the movie will begin at sunset. This is a FREE event, and all Newcomb family members are welcome! Bring your chairs and blankets, grab some complimentary popcorn while supplies last, and enjoy food available for purchase from our vendors.

🙌 Want to help make Movie Night extra special? We’re looking for volunteers to help with everything from decor ideas and setup to teardown, sound, and more! If you’d like to lend a helping hand, we’d love to have you as part of the fun!

🎉 One of Newcomb’s favorite traditions took the field this week—the annual 5th Grade Parent vs. Student Long Ball Game!

In a game filled with big kicks, great catches, and lots of laughs, the parents narrowly pulled off the victory with a final score of 42-39. 🏆

More than just a game, this event brought our entire Newcomb community together. Students from every grade came out to cheer, celebrate, and enjoy the excitement as our 5th graders and their families made lasting memories on the field.

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered from the sidelines, and helped make this elementary-wide celebration such a special event. What a fantastic way to wrap up another amazing school year! 💙💛

Gotta catch ’em all… and celebrate an amazing year!

Our MS Pokémon Club, hosted by Mr. Rugerroni, wrapped up the school year with a fun end-of-year celebration on Monday! From Pokémon battles and trading to making new friends and creating great memories, it was the perfect way to close out another fantastic year.

A huge thank you to Mr. Rugerroni for creating such an awesome space for our students to connect, learn, and share their love of Pokémon throughout the year.
