Happy Earth Day!!

This week we are diving deep into ocean habitats, the incredible places where plants and animals live, grow, and take care of each other beneath the waves. From coral reefs to kelp forests to the open sea, every habitat matters. Every creature has a home worth protecting.

A coral reef is like an underwater neighborhood, full of color, life, and community. Thousands of animals call it home, just like the community we have built here together.

Sea turtle or octopus?

This week, we're exploring all kinds of amazing ocean animals: sea turtles, octopuses, jellyfish, and more. The curiosity in our classrooms right now is incredible. 🌊

This week our little learners took to the skies!

We explored the exciting world of air travel, learning all about airplanes and helicopters, the roles of pilots and flight attendants, and even the parts of an airplane. Our budding engineers helped build their very own classroom airport and put their scientific minds to work experimenting with paper airplanes to discover how distance, wind, and speed work together.

Keep the learning going at home! Make paper airplanes together and see how far they fly. Count to 12 as you take turns launching them, and talk about what happens during takeoff and landing and who helps keep flights safe. You might be surprised how much your little one already knows! 🌟

This week, children explored boats and ships while learning about water transportation. They tested which objects sink or float, observed how wind and water currents affect speed and direction, and learned parts of a boat, including the role of a captain.

Through hands on discovery, they also connected teamwork and friendship to working together on the water.

Try it at home during bath time. Test safe items to see what sinks or floats and gently blow across the water to show how wind moves a boat. 🌊🚤

This week, we learned about land transportation and the many ways people travel. Children explored vehicles like cars, buses, bikes, and trains, sang transportation songs, and talked about how they get to school, whether walking, riding in a stroller, or traveling by car or bus. We also learned basic traffic safety rules and why they help keep everyone safe. Through creative play, children designed and built their own transportation models using a variety of materials.

At-Home Fun:
Take a short walk or car ride together and point out the vehicles you see. Talk about what each one is used for and which ones have wheels or tracks. Practice simple safety habits like stopping before crossing and looking both ways. If you try this activity, tag and share the at-home fun!
