Current job opportunity -- maybe good fit for LBCC Library Tech grads who did the work experience classes? :)
Greetings Studs!
Here is a wonderful volunteer opportunity and resume builder!
Support your local community by aiding in Sharifah Hardie in running for the 6th district seat in the Long Beach City Council 2020 election.
Her priorities are restoring well-functioning local government
creating career opportunities
eliminating homelessness
strengthening community
ensuring a healthy environment and growing a strong
diverse local economy

Campaign personnel is comprised of professionals of the community, creating a fruitful networking environment.

Volunteer expectations include:
-The distribution of fliers
-Assisting or leading a booth at a resource fair
-Speaking to friends and students about the local election and importance of local government.

Election day is March 3, 2020. Between then and now, there will be a number of events such as resource fairs, musical events, and galas.
The first of which is a resource fair on October 5th!
I will be leading a Health and Wellness booth were there will be blood sugar checks, vital signs checks, culturally appropriate nutritional information, and other pertaniant health tips or activities.

If any of these causes pique your interest, please email [email protected] or Direct message for questions or more information. Feel free to also explore the links included to learn more about Sharifah and what she can do for the community.
