The CSULB College of the Arts, with well over 3,000 majors, is California's largest and most comprehensive publicly funded school for the arts.

The College of the Arts at California State University Long Beach is made up of six academic units - the School of ART, the BOB COLE CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, and the departments of DANCE, DESIGN, FILM, and THEATRE ARTS. The college also oversees the operation of the Richard and Karen Carpenter Center and the Carolyn Campagna Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum, both situated on the campus of CSULB.

The Mariachi Ensemble in rehearsal!

The final performance for the ensemble is this Friday, May 8 at 7:30pm in the Daniel Recital Hall. Hope to see you there!

But you can also see them in a special appearance at the College of the Arts commencement ceremony on Monday, May 18 at 7pm.

Theatre Arts alums Malachi Beasley ( ) and Raymond Lee( ) stand with Theatre Arts Department Chair Ezra LeBank ( ) following the Fireside Chat at the Anna Ngai Alumni Center at CSULB. Malachi and Raymond joined fellow alumni, Noah Haytin (.haytin ) from the School of Art and Amie Ma ( ) from the Bob Cole Conservatory in sharing stories of moving from college to career, giving students and alumni in the audience a sense of how to make a life for yourself in the Arts.

Each semester, celebrates it's students in the vocal studies programs by giving them the opportunity to put on their own show. Student produced from start to finish, it is joyful and occasionally yields some excellent tiktok results!

The CSULB Alumni Office is reviving and re-imagining Fireside Chats! In March, four of our relatively recent alumni will come together on a panel discussing "Designing a Life in the Arts: Decisions, Detours, and Discovery."

Hear success stories from Noah Haytin - visual artist and educator, Raymond Lee - actor and star of the recent NBC reboot of "Quantum Leap," Amie MA- music teacher in the Alhambra Unified School District, and Malachi Beasley - actor, veteran and star of the upcoming Jamie Foxx film, "Fight for 84."

Theater News: Carpenter Center takes A.I.M at contemporary dance this Saturday In its fifth visit to the venue on the Cal State Long Beach campus, “A.I.M by Kyle Abraham” will showcase three dance works by choreographers Kyle Abraham and Jermaine Spivey that “elevate diverse artistic voices,” according to the Center.
