Little Owl School is a Reggio-inspired learning environment, where children, teachers and parents focus on investigative play and experimentation. Their theories and view of the world are respected. Children learn through hands on experiences to live fully and joyfully and ultimately become self motivated problem solvers with an abiding curiosity about the world. Our educational program is framed
also by the theories of Constructivitst Educators such as Piaget, Bruner and Vygotsky . The program incorporates early literacy, science, art and math integrated within the emergent curriculum. From our school building’s architectural design to classroom size, every aspect of our curriculum is designed to motivate and inspire children to learn. Environment is considered the "third teacher." Teachers carefully organize space for small and large group projects and small intimate spaces for one, two or three children. Little Owl School is a small school with large purposes; it is a school that ultimately will change the way young children interact with the world in ways that reflect: fairness and integrity, respect for others and the environment, and ultimately provide a springboard for the person they are meant to become.
