We are so happy to have our new members on board for the next year. They have all demonstrated their dedication to our music, eating brownies, and walaʻau-ing!

Our mother, Kapu Bray, was a dynamic and energetic performer, with an ability to connect with her audience and put them in hysterics . . . she was humble about her talent and believed in being gracious to every person who approached her.
She learned ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, hula, history, and chant from her mother, ʻAmelia Waiolama Kekahu, her Great-Uncle, David Kaonohiokala Bray, her Aunt, Odetta Bray, and Napua Woodd. Her instruments were her voice, uke, bass, and drums . . . but her greatest attribute was her heart . . . from that place came healing, love, and mana.
Here is the beginning . . . the inspiration of Guava Groove Studios, and the music of Kula aʻo ʻUkulele ʻo Hōkū.
