Designer Spotlight: Nicole Azevedo
Design Aesthetic: My Collection is inspired by old photos of my great aunt, Thais Alalia Dickerson. She was a famous actress in the 1930's known as Gloria Dickson. It is a Spring 2017 Women's contemporary collection mixing vintage and modern details.
Dream: My dream goal is to have my own fashion brand and show at New York Fashion Week. I want to change the way people view fashion and see it as something positive to empower others.
Inspiration: My all time favorite designer is Ellie Saab. His couture gowns are absolutely amazing and never cease to inspire me.

Designer Spotlight: Teresa Nguyen
Design Aesthetic: Cars specifically the Nissan Datsun Z 240 and 280. These creations are all accompanied with a connection to my life with my elder brothers. Dream: In fashion is to incorporate new technology into garments like biodegradable clothing or hospital attire that can measure heart rate. I want to show the world that fashion isn't all about glamour. It's about making a difference.
Inspiration: I am inspired by all designers, but for this collection Paco Rabanne is my main inspiration.

Designer Spotlight: Paige Rolin
Design Aesthetic: My design theme is all about nature. The majority of my inspiration comes from landscapes, flowers, water and animals.
Dream: I want to go into the film and television industry. Either becoming a costume designer or set costumer.
Inspiration: One of my favorite designers right now is Christian Siriano. We have a very similiar style and aesthetic. Zuhair Muraad is also a designer that I love right now.

Designer Spotlight: Rachel Sherman
Design Aesthetic: So, I decided on a funky, 1970s theme revolved around my child-like obsession with bubbles. There will be lots of color, which is a little difficult for me because I am so drawn to black
Dream: Ultimately, I want to be the head designer of my own lingerie and swimwear brand. But, before I reach that goal, I want to learn as much as I can about the fashion industry by working in different parts of this field, rather than just reading it in a textbook.
Inspiration: I am mostly inspired by smaller lingerie and swimwear businesses I find on Instagram. I would have to say, my favorite lingerie designer is Creepyyeha () and my favorite swimwear designer is Kae West ()

Designer Spotlight: Kanako Sato
Design Aesthetic: Combination of conservativeness and cutting edge design. Dream: While many of designers introduce designs with most modern design with very bright color, my design has something about simplicity and conservativeness.
Inspiration: Vera Wang and Haider Ackermann

Designer Spotlight: Stephanie Lee
Design Aesthetic: I like to use high contrast and geometric shape with metallic accents and pop of bold color.
Dream: I want to be a freelance designer with the hope to open and run my own design line someday.
Inspiration: I’m not inspired by any particular designer. I draw in what around me. I’m constantly on the lookout for something interesting and unique.

Designer Spotlight: Gabe Perez
Design Aesthetic: dramatic, detailed, dark, romantic, with a touch of seductiveness
Dream: I want to one day have my own line, dress people. Empower people. Make them feel comfortable, appreciate my clothing, and bring out their inner confidence.
Inspiration: Gabrielle Coco Chanel, Alexander McQueen and Cristobal Balenciaga

Designer Spotlight: Mackenzie Robinson
Design Aesthetic: eclectic and clean, I love bold colors and patterns with structured silhouettes.
Dream: My dream would be to have my own contemporary ready to wear line. Building up to that I would love to work under talented designers so I can learn and grow into a better designer.
Inspiration: Marni, Erdem, Phillip Lim, Dior, Alexander Wang, Zimmermann, Chloe, Isabel marant, Proenza Schouler, Valentino

Designer Spotlight: Linda Le
Design Aesthetic: my design aesthetic is simple, minimal, but edgy. I like designing garments that show off curves and skin.
Dream: In the future, I would love to own my own clothing brand, but for now, all i want to do is learn everything that i can. I'd like to work somewhere to get me started on this wonderful journey.
Inspiration: Elie Saab, Michael Costello, Zuhair Murad

Designer Spotlight: Shelly Graff
Designer Aesthetic: Bright, Vibrant, Bold, and full of color. This year my collection is inspired by stained glass.
Dream: To own my own fashion brand.
Inspiration: I am most inspired by Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, Claire McCardell and Elsa Schiaparelli.

Designer Spotlight: Kimberly Thomas. Design Aesthetic: Solely based on minimalism and clean lines. Dream: to become the Creative Director of Céline Inspiration: Karl Lagerfeld and Phoebe Philo inspire me!

Designer Spotlight: Christy Rodriguez Design Aesthetic: My design aesthetic emphasizes color and prints with comfort in mind as well. Dream: I want to help make women feel beautiful, comfortable and confident when it comes to their clothing and style. Inspiration: Rachel Zoe, Mara Hoffman, Alice + Olivia, MArc Jacobs

Dream: Make a name for myself in the
bridal industry and create a fully mix and match bridal line
Inspiration : Hayley Paige

Designer Spotlight: Courtney Wolking
Design Aesthetic: Elegant, but edgy. I love structure and detail.
Inspiration: Oscar de la Renta, YSL, Norman Hartnell, Christian Dior, and Dries Van Noten.
Dream: I want to be able to use fashion to convey an important message. Each woman I dress will be empowered and make a special impact in her community.

Designer Spotlight: Jazmin Araujo. Design Aesthetic: My parents are Mexican immigrants and as a result I based my senior collection on my heritage. Inspiration: I draw inspiration from music, thrift store finds, movies, art, nature, folk culture, and textures. Dream: The dream I have is to someday be involved in costuming for movies.

Where: USU Ballrooms 251 - Next to the food court on the 2nd level

All Models MUST be able to attend:
the Fashion Show on May 6th, 2016 and the run-through on May 4th, 2016

ATTIRE
Ladies:
Tops: white t-shirt or tank top
Bottoms: skinny black or denim jeans
Shoes: 4-inch heels
Hair: in ponytail
Makeup: natural makeup
Men:
Tops: fitted white t-shirt or tank top
Bottoms: blue or black slim pants/ shorts
Shoes: closed-toe shoes (NO flip flops)
