Are you good with tools? Long Beach Elementary is looking for volunteers who can bring their own tools and help finish construction of our new playground under the supervision of the installers. Join us this Saturday, August 22 at 9:00 a.m. at the playground area. For safety reasons, this volunteer opportunity is for adults only. Thank you for helping us complete this exciting project for our students!

The Long Beach and Ocean Park Playgrounds will be closed until further notice as we install new equipment. Keep your eyes our for our Grand Opening events at both location.

LBE Families,

Thank you for such a wonderful and successful school year! Thank you for entrusting your children to us. We hope we have met or exceeded your expectations and that your family had a fantastic year at Long Beach Elementary.

The school office will remain open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. through June 30, except Friday, June 19.

The school building and office will be closed July 1 through August 10, with the office reopening on Tuesday, August 11.

Parents of students moving to Ocean Park Elementary for 3rd grade: You can expect to receive a welcome letter from your child's new 3rd grade teacher in the mail sometime between June 18 and June 21.

Have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer. We can't wait to welcome everyone back in the fall!

Please note that there will be no Dylan’s After-School Program on Monday, June 15, or Tuesday, June 16, the final two days of school.

If your child normally attends Dylan’s, it is very important that you notify the office of your child’s dismissal and transportation plans for those days.

🏫Included in that communication will be a welcome letter from your child's teacher containing everything you'll need to get ready for the new school year, including:
A link to sign up for family engagement conferences during the first week of school
🚌A link to notify the office of your child's transportation plans for both the first week of school and the regular school year

📅Important dates and times for the start of school:
September 1: First day of school​
September 1–3: Half days with dismissal at 12:10 p.m.​
September 4: No School
School begins each day at 8:30 a.m.​
Regular dismissal is 3:10 p.m.​
Early dismissal Wednesdays are at 1:40 p.m. throughout the year, except during the first week when Wednesday is a half day.
