Global Book Bags: Focus on Identity
When: Saturday, March 12, 2022
Time: 9 am-noon
Where: Virtual - Zoom link to be provided
Who: K-5 Elementary Educators/Librarians
$100 Stipend for the first 30 participants who register and attend the full session.
Description: This workshop introduces elementary teachers and librarians to the Global Book Bags program, which presents global-themed children's literature for use in-home or classroom learning activities. Based on the CGEP global competence framework, book lists are provided with sample books and engaging learning activities. This workshop is free, but online registration is required. The first 30 participants will receive a $100 stipend and one book of their choice plus free access to a bank of lessons, themed lists, and other resources.

Latino Leaders Speak: Personal Stories of Struggle and Triumph is a resource of 33 short stories of national Latino heroes, leaders, and role models that will inspire students to dream big, get prepared, and get ready to lead America in the 21st Century.
