Last week our 8th graders went on a mission trip to the heart of LA. The trip was organized by an organization called MAVEN Truth. This company builds and leads Christian Worldview trips for High School and Middle School students with the end goal of exposing students to different worldviews and teaching through the Gospel narrative (creation, fall, redemption, restoration).
They were able to visit the Getty Museum to discuss a biblical view of beauty and the way that art uniquely communicates an artist’s worldview.
Another stop on their trip was in Thousand Oaks where we are learning from someone who came to Christ out of New Age spirituality. They then spent time learning about that worldview and how it contrasts with a biblical truth.
We hope that through this trip our students were able to engage in deep and meaningful faith forming and faith firming conversations.
This is only a small slice of what they experienced, If you know and LCS 8th grader I encourage you to ask them about the trip.
Did you know we have enrichment classes for the homeschool community? Every Tuesday homeschool families get to come on campus, fellowship, learn and grow together.
They experience things like Art, Innovators Lab, Music, and PE.

Innovation. It’s what moves us forward. It’s what makes things better. It’s what solves problems. Our students experience real world examples of how innovation propels the world forward and more importantly, how to empathetically introduce solutions into a hurting world. A big thank you to USC Viterbi School of Engineering for sharing your 3D Print Club with our students today!
LCS…we miss you. Who is ready to go back to school on Monday!!!

It is a blessing to do life with each and every one of you in the LCS community.
Mark your calendars! is less than 2 weeks away. On November 29th (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving), you will have the chance to join people around the world and support a cause close to your heart. Galatians 5:24-25
24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.
Paul now calls us to action based on our status in the Spirit
Paul’s argument is “if” then “let us.” The “if” relates to principle, and the “let us” relates to the application. God always appeals to living the Christian life based on our standing in Christ and the Spirit
God wants us to walk in line with the Holy Spirit, to walk according to His principles. The Christian who conforms to the standards of the Spirit lives in God’s will. Spiritual Christians get in line to march behind the Holy Spirit.
COME & WORSHIP! Join us for Lakewood Christian School's Night of Worship! The Middle School Choir will be leading vocally and the Elementary School Choir singing back up as we take an hour to lift praise to
our worthy God! Music teacher and worship pastor, Jeff Zabel, and an amazing adult-volunteer praise band from Arbor Road Church will accompany the choirs. Our awesome Middle School band led by Kate Phelps will also be accompanying on a few songs. It's going to be a powerful time
of worship and celebration!

Who are some of your favorite LCS teachers?
In Galatians 5:22-23 Paul speaks of the traits that are seen in those who have fully given their lives to God.
LOVE is the fruit that is true and genuine, loving God, and loving others the way that God loves others. It is sacrificial.
JOY is the fruit that gives inner peace and contentment that does not rely on outward situations being agreeable. Joy does not come from favorable circumstances, but instead by knowing one’s heart is right with God and is at peace with his Maker.
PEACE is the fruit that allows a Christian to experience inner calm when surrounding factors would normally cause stress and turmoil in the heart and mind
PATIENCE is the fruit that gives Christians the ability, in the Spirit, to wait on God's perfect timing even when our personal agenda seems to be failing.
KINDNESS is the fruit that causes a Christian to be merciful, compassionate and considerate of others.
GOODNESS is the fruit that causes people to live out their lives with good morals, good works, and good intentions for everyone
FAITHFULNESS is the fruit that causes a Christian to be constant and reliable. It produces trustworthiness.
GENTLENESS is the fruit that affects the speech and manners of a Christian. It applies to every person from the servant to the one in authority over others.
SELF-CONTROL is the fruit that stops a Christian from reacting and making decisions according to the desires of the flesh, and not the Spirit of God. It is continually submitting a person’s will to God’s will, not allowing the flesh to be in charge.
