Ethnic Studies for Education/Educators (ETHST 6) is a new LBCC Area F course especially for students who wish to learn about Ethnic Studies in the context of the school system and field of education. It's meets area F just like ETHST 1 and is open to students of all majors. Consider enrolling in this new course for spring 2023!

👏 Thirteen LBUSD high schools earned rankings on U.S. News and World Report’s list of America’s 2022 Best High Schools.
The California Academy of Mathematics and Science topped the LBUSD list, ranking 15th best in the nation and second best in California. 🏆 Two of Long Beach’s newest high schools, Sato Academy of Mathematics and Science and McBride, also earned top state rankings.

Long Beach Unified School District is hiring college student aides!
Pay: $16.63 per hour (maximum of 18 hours per week)
Job Description: Provide instructional support to students in a classroom or learning center (may be elementary, middle, or senior high school; Long Beach School for Adults).
Qualifications: College Student Aides must be pursuing a college degree, must provide proof of completion of college level courses totaling 48 units or more, or completion of an AA, BA degree. Must be enrolled full time in college with at least 12 units or more, or 6 units for post-grad (Students applying for positions for summer and 2022-2023 must have been full-time students in the Spring).
*Special note for hours of availability: College aide student support is usually between the hours of 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the summer program, and 7:30am to 3:30 pm during the school year.
