What We Believe

We believe in God, the living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute, and self-existent Cause. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God. We believe in the individualization of the Spirit in Us, and that all people are individualizations of the One Spirit. We believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding. We believe that heaven is within us, and that we experience it to the degree that we become conscious of it. We believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete freedom from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all. We believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. We believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling presence. We believe in the direct revelation of truth through our intuitive and spiritual nature, and that anyone may become a revealer of truth who lives in close contact with the indwelling God. We believe that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that we are surrounded by this Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it. We believe in the healing of the sick through the power of this Mind. We believe in the control of conditions through the power of this Mind. We believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving-kindness, and the eternal Givingness of Life to all. We believe in our own soul, our own spirit, and our own destiny; for we understand that the life of all is God.

That prayer changed everything for me when I finally stopped praying it. 🙏🏾

For years I was asking to be repaired. Cleaned up. Made acceptable.

But you can't fix something that was never broken.

Somebody handed you that story about yourself. Maybe a church. Maybe a family. Maybe your own addiction talking.

But it wasn't the truth. And it doesn't get to be the last word.

I built the place I wish existed when I was newly sober. 🙏🏾

That's why Vida Spiritual Learning Center exists.

Not to give you a God who's against you. But to help you discover a power and presence that is for you.

For your freedom. Your love. Your abundance. Your joy. Your peace. Your sobriety. Your capacity to actually live life fully.

At 16 I lost my understanding of God.

But years later I found a relationship with a Presence that could finally support my freedom. ✨

Then say: "That happened. I'm not that person now."

Say it out loud. Even if you don't believe it yet.

It took me years to figure that out. 🙏🏾

The first one made me feel like a mistake.

The second one showed me I was never one.

If you walked away from God because of how someone represented God to you — I understand. But don't let that be the end of your story.

There's a version of Spirit that's actually on your side.

If religion hurt you before it helped you — swipe. This one's for you. 🙏🏾

It took me years to realize that the God I was taught to fear and the Presence I eventually found were not the same thing.

One made me feel disposable.
The other set me free.

At 16 they read my name out loud in front of my entire religious community and told me I was no longer in God's favor. 💔

I felt disposable. Thrown away. Discarded.

And the part that broke me? I loved God. So how could I not be in God's favor?
I carried that for years.

But then I discovered something that changed everything —
God doesn't make mistakes. And God made me.

Through years of spiritual study, meditation, affirmative prayer, and conscious connection I finally understood something radically different than what I was taught:
I'm not separate from God.

God is living in me. God is living through me. 🙏🏾

If you've ever been told you were too broken, too far gone, or not good enough for a Higher Power — beloved, that was never the truth about you.
