Summer@CIP Long Beach was all about college life, independence, friendship, and fun! 🌴🎓

Students got a taste of college life while spending their summer at Cal State Long Beach, building life skills, developing Person Centered Plans, and learning what it means to take greater ownership of their independence.

And they didn’t do it alone! Along the way, students made new friends and shared unforgettable experiences—from Knott's Berry Farm and an LA Angels game to go-karting and creative expression—making the most of everything Southern California has to offer. ☀️🎢⚾️

It was a summer filled with growth, connection, adventure, and friendships that can last a lifetime.

Students and staff from all five CIP Centers came together for an unforgettable Global Engagement Trip through the heart of Eastern Europe! Over ten incredible days, CIP’s neurodiverse young adults explored the historic cities of Budapest, Kraków, and Prague—experiencing rich culture, deep history, and meaningful connection every step of the way.

Last week, all five of our CIP Centers across the country gathered to celebrate the season! 🎄✨

At our Long Beach Center (and nationwide), it was a beautiful time to pause and reflect on another year of making a difference. We are so grateful for the opportunity to work together in service of the neurodivergent community, helping our students reach their full potential.

We’re back! CIP Long Beach returned to volunteer with Sowing Seeds of Change Urban Farm — just in time for the fall harvest. Students dug in for a day of planting, weeding, composting, and gathering seasonal produce at the Long Beach urban farm.

A wonderful chance to reconnect with nature, give back, and support their mission of empowering young adults through meaningful agricultural and vocational experiences.
