📚 THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR IS HERE! 📚

The Scholastic Book Fair is happening now at LTE through Thursday, August 27, from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM each day!

📖 Student Shopping: Students are always welcome to shop before or after school with their families. If they have money, they may also shop when it is convenient during the school day—upon teacher approval—during a Brain Break or Lunch Recess.

🍎 Teacher Wish Lists: Our teachers have selected books they would love to add to their classroom libraries! If you’d like to purchase a book for your child’s classroom, simply choose one from the Teacher Wish List section and let us know at checkout.

Don’t miss out—stop by before the Book Fair ends Thursday!

🕟 4:30–5:15 PM — Classroom Session 1
🦁 5:15–5:45 PM — Visit the PTO and SAC in Town Center! Stop by to gather information and check out LTE Spirit Wear, available to order through MySchoolBucks.

We wanted to share some exciting changes happening in our front office!

Rebecca Jamrozek and Carin Buster have accepted new positions within the district. We’re so excited for them and grateful for all they’ve done for LTE!

We’re also thrilled to welcome Rhonda Barker, Laurie Van Tatenhove, and Angela Bauer into their new roles at LTE. All three are familiar faces who have previously been part of our LTE family, and we’re so happy to have them in the front office.

Being greeted by our amazing Principal Mindy Persichina, DCSD Superintendent Erin Kane, SRO Officer Goudy, and our outstanding staff made the first day extra special!

We had an amazing summer, but I think it’s safe to say we’re all ready to send these kiddos back to our amazing teachers! 😂📚

A Few Reminders:

👕 Free dress all week!
🏷️ Please label clothing, backpacks & water bottles
🚗 Drop-Off & “Settle-In” on the first day (8:00–9:00 AM )- Parents will have the option to either drop their child(ren) off or park and accompany them to their classroom(s). ALL K–5th grade students and parents must enter the building through the main entrance.

🚗 Drop-Off Reminders

• Stay in your car and pull forward as directed by staff.
• Have all children exit at the same time.
• Students should be ready for a quick, independent exit.
• If your child needs assistance, please park and use the walking drop-off area. Drivers may not exit vehicles in the drop-off loop.

While we were soaking up summer, Lone Tree Elementary was getting a few upgrades of its own! ☀️🏫

Thanks to the Mill Levy bond, LTE received:
☀️ Solar panels on the roof
❄️ HVAC improvements
✨ Select countertop replacements
🚨 Fire alarm system improvements

It was a busy summer behind the scenes, and now our school is ready to welcome back our amazing Lions for another fantastic year! 🦁💙

And speaking of getting ready… check out that EMPTY Lost & Found! 🙌

Don’t forget to label those jackets, sweatshirts and water bottles before Wednesday! You know they’ll be in there before you know it! 😉
