Today we’re extra thankful for the men and women who guide, teach, and coach our athletes both on and off the field.

The early mornings, late nights, long practices, game days, weekends, travel, and countless hours spent preparing behind the scenes.

These coaches build relationships, teach accountability, encourage our athletes when things get tough, and help them become better athletes and better people. Their impact goes far beyond what shows up on a scoreboard.

If a coach has made a difference in your life, take a moment to let them know. A comment below or a simple “thank you” can go a long way.

School Safety Notification:

We want to make you aware of an incident that occurred today in which a high school student made a comment involving a serious threat.

The student has been detained and there will be an investigation performed by our staff and the LOISD Police Chief.

Lone Oak ISD takes all threats seriously and will handle this situation accordingly.

The district wants to reiterate the seriousness of making threatening comments no matter the circumstances. There is no joking or humor in regard to safety.

As we work to decrease these incidents, we ask for cooperation from our LOISD families in reminding students to consider the serious consequences and refrain from making poor decisions.

Thank you for your help as we work together to keep our school community safe.

Calling all Veterans!

As we prepare for our upcoming Veterans Day Program, we would like to honor and recognize the veterans who are part of our school family and community.

We are creating a special Veterans Day slideshow to be shown as part of the program, and we would love for your family to be a part of it! If you have a family member, friend, or loved one who is a veteran or currently serving in the military, please consider sending us a photograph. We would especially love to include veterans connected to our students and staff.

Please send:
• A photo of the veteran
• Veteran’s name
• Branch of service and years served, if possible
• Relationship to your student

Photos may be emailed to [email protected] no later than November 2.

Thank you for helping us make this Veterans Day Program a meaningful celebration of the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Tonight is the night! Come out and be part of the Homecoming excitement as our Buffaloes take the field and we crown our 2026 Homecoming King and Queen!

4:30 PM: Varsity Volleyball vs. Rains
6:40 PM: Homecoming Court Introductions
7:30 PM: Varsity Football vs. Mineola Yellowjackets
