LJ FFA received a generous donation from the Jackson County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. These funds will be used to help cover the chapters’ expenses throughout the year. Representing the board and presenting the donation to our officer team is Stacey Grimpo. Thank you!

LJ FFA had a busy last 7 days.
We ran the concession stand at the volleyball game.
Shot trap on Saturday afternoon.
Had our monthly chapter meeting Tuesday morning before school.
Trap shooting makeups Wednesday afternoon.
Today we competed at the Central District Grassland Evaluation contest.

LJ FFA had nine members travel to Linn Creek today for the 2026 MYSSA Fall Classic at the Missouri Trapshooters Association. We had a great day with great weather and were lead by Harlan and Jacob with an 84 and 81! Great learning experience as it was the first time shooting here for 8/9 members.

On Thursday, September 24, the Lone Jack FFA Chapter hosted their annual Farm Safety Day to help celebrate National Farm Safety and Health Week. LJ FFA members brought in a variety of animals, equipment, machinery and spent the morning discussing a variety of safety aspects with the LJHS/MS student body. Thank you to everyone who participated, presented and came to learn about farm safety! Stay tuned for the announcement of the 4th grade Farm Safety Poster contest winners!

LJ FFA participated in the 2026 Homecoming glow parade last night. We were fortunate to have 17 members riding in the parade. Thank you to Barker Farms for the truck & trailer and to Dustin Hall for chaperoning the activities!

32 LJ FFA members traveled to Butler High School today for the Area 7 FFA Leadership Conference. Students had the opportunity to network with other members, learn about SAE projects, compete against other chapters in ag Olympic yard games and complete a community service project making tie blankets to donate to those in need.

The road to California continues! The second of three WLAC Qualifying Events will be held October 5 at Saluda Livestock Exchange in Saluda, South Carolina. Entries must be received by 4:00 p.m. (CDT) on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

LJ FFA Greenhand members Lanie and Brody knocked all five paragraphs of the FFA Creed outta the park today to earn their free FFA jackets. Great work!

A big shoutout goes to LJ FFA greenhand member Julius for reciting the entire FFA Creed from memory in class today and earning his free FFA jacket! There are three more jackets up for grabs but ya gotta act fast, the contest ends on Tuesday, 9/8.
