Congratulations to Alexander/ Swafford team winning last weekend October 19th inner squad fishing tournament on Laurel. Results below:

1st: Alexander/Swafford 8.5 lbs
2nd: W. Alsip/ Vaughn 8.0 lbs
3rd: I. Alsip/ L. Kilburn 3.0lbs
4th: Anderson/ Martin 0.9 lbs
Also fishing but did not weigh in teams:
McWhorter/ A. Kilburn and B. Williams

Congratulations to Will Alsip and Jack Vaughn on finishing 1st place by weighing in 12.7 lbs at this weekends tournament on Laurel. Also weighing in at 2nd place was I.Alsip/L. Kilburn with 4.0lbs and H.McWhorter/A.Kilburn with 2.1 lbs at 3rd place finish. Way to go Cards!

First tournament of the season and big congratulations to Orr/Smith on finishing first place and the only team weighing in with 4.4 lbs on Laurel this weekend!

There will be an informational fishing team meeting Monday August 19 at 7:00 pm at South Laurel High School cafeteria.

Let’s hear it for South Laurel anglers Hailey Anderson and Brook Martin for WINNING the 2024 KHSAA State Championship Girls Division on Kentucky Lake!!! On day two they weighed in another 5 bag limit with 12.8 lbs for a TOTAL two day weight of 24.91 lbs!

Brook Martin also won big fish in the girls division with a 4.7 lbs largemouth bass!

Also want to congratulate Braydon Hodges and Landon Alexander for a total two day weight of 20.9 lbs and finishing in 23rd place.

And finally congratulations for finishing in 30th place to Wade Brock and Clay Bales with a total two day weight of 17.11 lbs.

South Laurel fishing team ready for Kentucky Lake in the state tournament for the next two days! Let’s go Cardinals!!

South Laurel anglers showed up ready to compete at Green River Lake Region 3 tournament this weekend. Proud of all 7 teams competing. Three of our teams will be moving on to state tournament at Kentucky Lake!
