🐯📚 TIGER TUESDAY: THE POWER OF READING! 📚🐯
At London Elementary, we know that learning to read is the foundation for so much of a child’s success. That’s why our Reading Mastery program is so important!
Through explicit instruction and purposeful practice, our Tigers are building the skills they need to become accurate, fluent, confident readers.
Why does early reading matter?
📖 Third grade is a critical milestone because students increasingly rely on reading to learn across every subject.
📈 Research shows that students reading proficiently by third grade are significantly more likely to graduate from high school on time. One study found that nearly 80% of students reading above grade level in third grade graduated within five years.
Every sound blended, every word decoded, every passage practiced, and every book read is building a stronger reader—and opening doors to a bigger future. ❤️🤍
🐯 We’re growing readers. We’re building confidence. We’re unleashing excellence!
