In memory of our sister, Amy Camille Hampton, we plan to award an Amy Camille Hampton Memorial Talent Scholarship to both a teen and miss contestant at our preliminary this year. Our goal is to present a $250 cash scholarship to the overall Miss talent winner and a $250 cash scholarship to the overall Teen talent winner. As many of you know, Amy had a beautiful voice. She sang "Think Of Me" from the Phantom of the Opera and could make you laugh with her dry wit. She was a "take me as I am woman" who, as the very first Miss Southeast Kentucky, left each of us with big shoes to fill. Amy started us out on this journey in 1992 and set a great example of who Miss Southeast Kentucky should truly be. Being the first member of our sisterhood that has passed, we ask for your help in the establishment of this scholarship in her memory. Any amount you are able and willing to donate is greatly appreciated. You can mail it (PO Box 434 - Pittsburg, KY 40755), or go to our website and send a PayPal payment (www.misscumberlandfallssoutheastky.com) - just note AHM Talent Sch. We hope this is a tradition we can continue as our sisterhood continues to grow. As Amy sang so many years ago... "Think of me. Think of me fondly when we've said goodbye. Remember me once in a while. Please promise me, you'll try." In our own little way, this will keep the wonderful memories of her alive. There will never be a day when we won't think of her.

As we have often said, each young woman that has travelled through our doors has left a deep impression on our hearts. Today, one of those women is in need of our prayers. I am asking that each one who reads this message say a special prayer for the very first Miss Southeast Kentucky - Amy Camille Hampton. She needs a miracle - which only God can supply.
