Laugh and Learn This preschool prep class is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and emphasizes learning through fun and play. Each session includes storytime, hands-on activities to enhance knowledge and fine motor skills, and a snack. It's a wonderful opportunity for young learners to grow, explore, and enjoy themselves in a supportive environment.

What a week! The FCS team had a wonderful time celebrating our community at the Southeast Kentucky Fair this week, where we had the privilege of hosting the Cultural Arts Exhibits! From beautiful quilts and creative crafts to delicious entries and so many talented creations, we loved seeing the time, talent, and heart our community puts into the things they create. 💙
While we were celebrating the Cultural Arts in the evenings, our coworkers were also busy working the Laurel County Ag Fair earlier in the day — making for a full week of celebrating the people, talents, and traditions that make Laurel County so special!
We love being part of a community that shows up, supports one another, and takes the time to celebrate the hard work and creativity of our neighbors. Thank you to everyone who entered an exhibit, stopped by to visit, volunteered, or simply came out to enjoy the fair. And if you didn't get a chance to enter this year, don't worry — it's never too early to start working on your projects for next year! We can't wait to see what you create! 💙✨

We have some exciting news to share and we do not want anyone to miss it! Starting this Saturday, we are launching Family Health Bucks at the London Laurel County Farmers Market! If you are 60 or older, stop by the market table this weekend to learn more and pick up your vouchers for fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. This is a separate program from our existing voucher programs, so if you didn’t receive those other vouchers or didn’t qualify please come see us as these are available for you!

This is such a wonderful program and we are so proud to be one of 2 markets in the state to offer it. Please share this post so it reaches every senior in Laurel County who could benefit. We cannot wait to see you Saturday!

Do you sell handmade items, holiday décor, baked goods, gifts, or other unique products? We'd love to have you apply to be a vendor at this year's Laurel County Extension Holiday Bazaar!

📧 Acceptance decisions will be emailed by August 28.

Vendor Information:
🛍 Booth rentals (for accepted vendors) are $25 per space.
💙 Laurel County Homemakers receive a discounted rate of $10 per space.
