On GED tests, you may need to identify the order of events or steps from a passage or graphic. The first step is to look for clue words like first, before, next, after, then, and finally. When the order isn’t obvious, look back at the passage and check for what happened before or after each event.

Fact vs. Opinion - Can you tell the difference?
A fact can be proven true or false. An opinion is what someone thinks, believes, or feels. Carefully consider, "Could I prove this?”

Earning her GED gave Jessica the push she needed to reach for new opportunities. “It wasn’t hard once the decision was made,” she said. Her proudest moment came when she passed all her tests on the first try and actually earned her diploma.
Now in college pursuing a bachelor’s in English, Jessica is taking the first steps on a career path she’s excited about. “I feel more confident and more independent,” she said. To those on the fence about pursuing their own GED she says, “There is no outcome where you will regret it. It may be hard for some and easier for others, but the outcome will be worth it.”
