Note that the GED Science test will provide text and/or a graphic on which you'll base your answer. Revisiting general science vocabulary terms, like those in the slideshow below, is a good way to help you understand source materials and choose the best answers.

It may be unexpected, but on every GED subtest, including language arts, test-takers will need to read graphics like charts, tables, graphs, pictures, etc. To be successful, it's important to pay attention to titles and labels, as well as look for patterns and measurements before ever looking at the answer choices.

Grammar short for today ...
These two sound-alikes are all about whether ownership is involved. "Its" without an apostrophe shows possession or ownership. With an apostrophe, "it's" is a shortened form of "it is" or "it has."
