North Laurel Middle School

NLMS is celebrating Red Ribbon Week next week, October 27th- 31st as we pledge to be a DRUG FREE school. We will also be having Spirit Week. All staff and students are encouraged to dress up! Monday is Camo Day, Tuesday- 80's Day, Wednesday- Twin Day, Thursday - Nerd Day, Friday- Black Out Day.

Don't forget- NLMS PICTURE DAY is this Thursday, October 9th, 2014.

The Laurel County Youth Leadership Council is sponsoring a lemon drive to support Makaylynn's Mission, a local organization that supports childhood cancer research. Bags of lemons can be dropped in the Youth Service Center.

The girls basketball game scheduled for this Thursday night, September 18th, has been cancelled.

SBDM meeting today at 5 pm in the NLMS library. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend.

Grade reports will be going home tomorrow (9/10/14) with your student!

Student club sign ups begin Thursday. There are over 40 club offerings for students to choose from!

Also congratulations to Keller Brown who finished 6th in the middle school boys race and Trey Rose who finished 13th. Great job boys!

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for the 2nd place finish at the Henry Clay Invitational on August 30th. The girls also finished 2nd this past Saturday at the Patriot Pride Invitational in Lincoln County. Individual medalists were: Katie Brown-12th place, Abby Mounce- 13th place, Macy Feltner-15th place, Ashleigh Hale- 16th place, Shelby Fouts-17th place.

Everyone is invited out to Jungle Jam tonight at 6 pm. Come support our NLMS fall teams. Admission is $5 a car!

Congratulations to our 6th, 7th and 8th grade football teams in their win against Farristown Middle on Saturday.
